Right Now

Right now, I'm...

...swooning over the downright chilly- no, cold- weekend weather, and the snuggling and drawing together that came from it.
...taking advantage of the nesting urge that comes with cooler weather- apple pie, cinnamon rolls, or banana bread, anyone?
...winding down from a shower for a sweet cousin, and gearing up for a rainbow birthday for a certain sweet soon-to-be four-year-old (wait, did I type that right... four? Where did the time go?)!
...mourning the loss of yet another mispronunciation by my oh-so-big girl (no more fluffing her "plah-noh" at bed time- now it's "pillow" all the way).
...savoring the dwindling remainders of said mispronunciations (friginator, apple-tizers, wheel bee-oh...).
...stretching out on the living room rug, where we've been all day, trying to absorb every last bit of the first fire in the fireplace... especially since it'll probably be a long time before we get to have another one (hello again 80's on Wednesday).
...loving the growing interest in participating in and sharing chores around the house... from both kiddos... and also wondering how long we have until they stop wanting to do it all!

Speaking of chores, we're starting this week with a long list of 'em, and a deadline to boot with a most important birthday party looming within the oncoming weekend! How easy it would be to skip right through the second week of October without soaking in a little something from our favorite season!

So for this Monday, may we all keep from getting lost in lists, and stop to hear the leaves fall here and there. Have a good one.
