Right Now

Right now, I'm...

...watching a chickadee drink out of my hummingbird feeder, no joke. I'm not sure if he's the same one that's been visiting it lately, or if this is going to be a thing for them all, but it's happening pretty regularly.
...itching and scratching, just like everyone else over here. All this rain has made for some pretty intense mosquitoes, and I think there was one in our bedroom overnight (uuuuugh).
...researching how to reduce the mosquitoes in the chicken coop (because dang are there a ton).
...planning a trip out to the beehives to pull off the feeders before they fill them up with comb again!

...thinking about some flower planting- my bee yard needs some perennials (and I'm looking at some of these pollinator-friendly plant lists)!
...marveling at the things we keep finding growing without a traditional garden- this weekend we found a baby tomato plant growing in the front flowerbed for some reason!
...also marveling at the number of turtle sightings we've had, much to the kiddo's delight.

...loving the fact that the 10-day outlook (at this point anyway) shows sunshine, sunshine, and more sunshine! With only two-ish weeks left before the Summer Solstice, it'll be nice to actually see some of that sun before it starts to make it's annual decline!

Right now I'm sitting at the head of the first week of summer break with both kiddos still in their beds, the sky filling with light, and the days mostly unplanned. It's a great way to kick off the week.

Happy Monday!
